Note

En 1964, il reprend avec sa mère la direction des tricoteries de l'Aa,à Wizernes.
Quelques années plus tard, pour faire face à une pénurie de main d’œuvre, il délocalise l'entreprise en Bretagne, dans les anciennes écuries du château de Monthaurin, à Louvigné-du-Désert. Il occupe une partie du château avec sa famille tandis que sa mère occupe l'autre partie.
Ce château, construit au XVIIe siècle, est classé monument historique.
Son objectif réussi : moderniser la production en équipant l’usine de machines à tisser ultra-performantes. Son fils Alexandre a repris la succession en rachetant la marque Mont St Michel qui s’exporte aujourd’hui dans les plus grands capitales mondiales.
