Genealogy data of Dolman or Dowman, of Pocklington

Richard de Percy pris possession des biens de sa tante Maud, Comtesse de Warwick, et d'une grande partie de ceux de sa mère, Agnès de Percy.

Le 6 juillet 1234, le roi en personne décréta que ces biens devaient être partagés en deux parties égales, l'une pour Richard, et l'autre pour son neveu William, mais qu'au décès de Richard, l'intégralité devait revenir à William ou ses successeurs.

Il eut au moins deux épouses :

1. Joan ou Alicia, fille de Lord William de Braose of Gower, dont il eut probablement un fils et héritier Henry de Percy
2. Agnes de Neville, qui lui survécu de nombreuses années (elle épousa John de Eyncourt en 1252), peut-être jusqu'en 1288

One son, named Henry de Percy, who no longer ranked among the Barons, as the greatest part of his
father's possessions reverted to the true heir Lord William de
Percy (son of Henry) ; yet this Henry, son of
Richard, continued to possess lands chiefly about Ergham and
Settel in Yorkshire, and obtained in 1249 (anno 33 Hen.II)
a grant of a market and fair to be held at Settel. He
appears to have married Agnes de Flammavilla, and left one son,
Alexander de Percy who was living at Aton in Yorkshire,but probably died without issue.

This Alexander de Percy must not be confounded with Sir Alexander de Percy of Ormsby and Sneton, who lived about the same time, and
is mentioned in the history of Whitby.
